Sidonio's Custom Mens Shoppe Ltd.: Sidonio (Sid) Brombal, longtime owner of Sidonio's is celebrating 50 years of retail service in Downtown Guelph. On July 15, 1960, Brombal began working for Brown's Clothing Store on Wyndham Street and has been servicing the best dressed men of Guelph ever since. After 18 years of service to the Brown family, Sidonio opened his own shop, Sidonio's Custom Men's Shoppe Ld., on Quebec Street and has relocated his store several times over the past 32 years along Wyndham Street. Sidonio has been a fixture in the downtown core and has served on the Downtown Board of Management and has devoted time to several service clubs and charitable organizations including the Guelph-Wellington Association for Community Living. The Towne Winer: wins again, a record 4,508 different wines were judged in the 2010 edition of the WineMaker International Amateur Wine Competition. Wines were entered in 50 different categories and entries were awarded gold, silver and bronze. The Towne Winer came away with a Gold for a Blush/Rosé - Red Vinifera - 64 entries and a Bronze for a Shiraz/Syrah - 282 entries. To read more about these awards and the Towne Winer click here.
