For Immediate Release | Dec 19, 2018

On February 4th, the Guelph Chamber of Commerce will host a CEO Dinner, presented in partnership with Heffner Lexus, RBC Royal Bank and Richardson GMP. The event will feature Linda Hasenfratz, CEO of Linamar Corporation, in a thought-provoking and inspiring conversation with Ward 1 Studios’ Sandy Clipsham about Linda’s climb from the ground floor to CEO.

“Our CEO Dinner is an integral component of the Guelph Chamber’s efforts to community building by showcasing global pillars in business & philanthropy through inspiring stories that cultivate success,” says Kithio Mwanzia, President & CEO of the Guelph Chamber. “Hosting Linda Hasenfratz offers a fantastic opportunity for our community to hear first-hand how she has grown the company from an $800 million enterprise to nearly an $8 billion company.”

Linda Hasenfratz is the Chief Executive Officer of Linamar Corporation, a global, diversified manufacturing company focused in the automotive, access equipment and harvesting equipment markets. Hasenfratz joined her father’s company in 1990 and worked her way up from the ground floor, experiencing all aspects of the business including running a machine, engineering and operations management.

Linda Hasenfratz has been named one of the Automotive News 100 Leading Women in each year of its publication in 2000, 2005, 2010 and 2015. Hasenfratz was recognized for her contributions to Canadian business through many leadership awards including the 2014 Ernst & Young National Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Canada. The Ivey Business School at the University of Western Ontario honoured Hasenfratz in October 2017 with their Ivey Business Leader Award as has the University of Manitoba with their International Distinguished Entrepreneur Award. In May of 2016 Linda Hasenfratz, along with her father Frank Hasenfratz, was inducted into the Canadian Business Hall of Fame.

“Linda and Linamar Corporation are one of the finest examples of a Guelph success story and we look forward to her inspiring others in our community as she highlights the value of perseverance in pursuit of achievement,” adds Mwanzia.
