Local Leaders in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math to Address Guelph Community at “Women in STEM” Conference

On May 16, the Guelph Chamber of Commerce will host the ‘Women in STEM’ Conference, presented in partnership with the Waterloo-Wellington Local Health Integration Network, RLB LLP and DENSO Manufacturing. The event will feature three local STEM leaders in a thought-provoking and inspiring conversation about their trajectory in these important fields and the benefits to our local and global economy.
“Elevating the discussion on Women in STEM is an integral focus in the Guelph Chamber’s efforts to showcase and inspire the future growth in this field of study and professional path,” says Kithio Mwanzia, President & CEO of the Guelph Chamber. “Hosting local leaders that have excelled in the STEM fields offers a fantastic opportunity for our community to see first hand how important it is for competitive and leading-edge organizations to support leadership in STEM.”
This important, educational and motivating day will feature three local leaders in the STEM fields who will be providing Ted Talk sessions. They include:
- Monique Radersma, P.Eng., DENSO Manufacturing
- Dr. Gerarda Darlington, Professor of Math & Statistics, University of Guelph
- Kelly Brooks, Owner, SpeakFeel Corporation
