Guelph Chamber of Commerce President & CEO Shakiba Shayani to end her tenure

The Board of Directors of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce has announced that Shakiba Shayani is stepping down from the role of President & CEO. The Board offers gratitude to Shakiba for her leadership over her five-year tenure. “Shakiba has been instrumental in shaping the Chamber’s vision and driving forward initiatives that have had significant and positive impact on Guelph’s business community,” said Sarah Haanstra, Chair of the Board at the Guelph Chamber of Commerce. “Her commitment to innovation, collaboration, and community engagement will leave a profound legacy.  On behalf of the Board of Directors and membership, we wish Shakiba continued success.” 

Reflecting on her time with the Chamber, Shakiba remarked, “It has been an extraordinary privilege to lead the Guelph Chamber of Commerce and collaborate with so many inspiring business and community leaders. I am proud of what we have accomplished together, and I am confident that the Chamber is poised for continued success.” 

The Chamber has begun a comprehensive search for a new President & CEO. The Board and the team are committed to ensuring a smooth transition and will continue delivering value to members and the Guelph business community. The Board remains confident that the Chamber is well-prepared to build on the strong foundation that Shakiba has established. Shakiba will be remaining in the role to support recruitment and transition efforts.
